Damion Figueroa

Pat’s Gym is excited to introduce our new coach Damion Figueroa. Damion is an experienced athlete whose passion is fitness. At the age of 4, Damion started wrestling and continued participating in athletics through high school. He participated in football, baseball, and wrestling while attending high school in La Crosse, WI. When playing football, Damion’s coach said that “if you want to play on the Varsity team you need to be in the gym working out.” Damion took those words to heart, as he played on the Varsity Team. Damion continued working out through his college days, and that started a trend in his life.

After high school Damion continued to work out regularly, and eventually began training for a bodybuilding show. In 2015, Damion competed in the Mr. Natural Minnesota Bodybuilding competition where he placed 1st in his class in the Novice division and 2nd in his class in the overall division.

Currently, Damion’s goals are to deadlift 2.5x his bodyweight and row 2,000m under 6:50. Damion’s current career goal is to help 10 people by June 1, 2020, reach their fitness goals. Whether that’s weight loss, or a performance goal, Damion wants to help those people accomplish their personal fitness goals.

Damion became a coach at Pat’s Gym because he wanted to take his fitness to a higher level. Pat has worked with Damion to improve his fitness level, and his knowledge base. Damion got started in coaching when some of his friends saw Damion’s own personal transformation and wanted to know more about what Damion was doing. Damion’s career in coaching started at that point in college. Damion is NASM Personal Training Certified, NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialist Certified, and 1stPhorm Level 1 Supplement Certified.

When Damion is not in the gym, you can find Damion traveling the world during his free time. Damion recently visited Banff National Park in Canada which is one of his favorite destinations. Damion loves ice cream and is a huge Packers fan. Damion also enjoys watching all other Wisconsin sports teams.
