It’s just not for warding off vampires, it’s great for your health!

Garlic is such a great vegetable, that generally will be avoided because of its smell. However, studies continue to show the beneficial impacts that it has on our health.
Garlic, an ingredient found in almost every cuisine, has emerged as one great superfood. Garlic can improve immunity, heart health, possibly help prevent as well as fight certain cancers, and lower triglycerides and total cholesterol. Its many compounds include antioxidants and allicin, and it has anti-bacterial properties.
Therefore, enjoy your garlic. Use it when you have a cold because of its microbial, antiviral and antibiotic properties. As noted, in studies it has found to be good at fighting certain cancers, high triglycerides, and lowering total cholesterols. The antioxidants in garlic are also good because it lessens oxidative stress which is another cause of inflammation.
Some of these benefits can be seen after eating just one meal with raw garlic. Yet overall there’s enough evidence to have at least half of a clove every day. So next time you want to pass on the garlic, think about why you can use it for its health benefits.
