No Excuses for Missing a Recovery Day

It was a busy day but we took advantage of the nice weather with the family.  My new house provides the perfect opportunity to get some stair repeats.  We have about 40 steps that I raced my kids up and down repeatedly.  We did push ups at the top and squats at the bottom.  I have not run stairs/hills since college and it brought back some memories to my lungs and legs.

I normally do longer recovery endurance on Saturdays but you fit things in when you can around the kids’ schedules. They both napped today, so during their nap I got in a bonus SkiErg workout in while, Roza did 1-6 ladders of pull ups and push ups.

Bonus workout:
1min ski >300m
90sec “rest” 10x goblet squats
Build meters each round
10 sets

Remember its easy to make excuses to not workout.  Make it a priority, and you will find ways to do it.  Afterward, you will thank yourself for it.  When this attitude becomes a habit, you won’t need motivation to do it.

Tomorrow is a rest day, which I definitely need.
