Today was a very busy day. However, I’m beginning to like the discipline of writing out my workout and nutritional intake for the day. I’m thinking about offering another week of this, but will make the decision based upon feedback I receive. So, please let me know if you would like for me to continue for another week or not.
Today was an upper body, pulling, and strength endurance workout. When I was injured — luckily I am now recovered — I was able put in a lot of time on my pulling movements. As a result of not rushing my recovery and using my injury as an opportunity to strengthen weaknesses, I am happy with how easy the volume is now. I feel stronger than I did before.
Many of you have commented on how in the past 11 days, you have been surprised that I load up on carbs. However, if you note my workouts and nutrition, they are carefully planned to complement each other. I will load up on the carbs, so that they will carry me through an intense, future workout. I am burning through the carbs and not letting them turn to fat. As I wrote yesterday, my intention with my current workouts is to gain mass, gain strength, and power for functional fitness. Carbs will help me accomplish my goals.
