I’ve learned a lot of valuable lessons in my years of working out. One of the most important lessons I learned is that on hard days you need to push yourself, and on recovery days you need to go easy. Most people don’t go hard enough on hard days, and don’t go easy enough on recovery days. If you don’t respect recovery, your workouts will turn be mediocre, as will the results.
I did one of my favorite recovery workouts on Day 18. This workout promotes healthy blood flow, works the entire body, and is a great way to focus on technique. Don’t rush this workout and take your time adjusting the weight to make it a recovery workout. I also adjust my eating based on what I was doing. My rule is: “If you’re going to eat whatever you want, you need to earn it.” Today, I did not earn it but my body needed recovery. Therefore, you will not see pizza or other heavy carbs in my eating.
Also, making it a recovery day I went to get a structural integration body work…..it’s a form of a deep tissue massage. The guy I go to, Alex Greene is pretty amazing.
Here is a picture of what I did today..…they are known as Turkish Get-Ups.

Here is a picture that I took a couple of weeks ago, using Roza as the weight for a Turkish Get-Up in a photo shoot. It was a fun shoot, and the pictures are pretty amazing. I’ll be showing you more of these in the near future.
