It’s hard to believe, that Day 14 of my 14 day journey has ended. It’s been fun to keep track of food and nutrition, and aligning it with my workouts. Looking back on the 14 days of my journaling has made me realize that the workouts and nutrition — the planning, discipline in following it, and the passion with which I do it — can seem daunting when viewed independently of my history. However, it’s really about creating healthy habits that make it all very easy to live with. The habits I’ve developed in the last 10 years, make it easy to apply the discipline. It’s second nature now. Simply, I have been disciplined for so long, that living what I’ve shared with you, is relatively easy.
I’ve heard a lot from many of you. As a result, I’m going to continue my journaling until the end of February. I appreciate the feedback. Thanks, and I appreciate your support. The response to the new website has been outstanding. Thank you.
Now to my nutrition and workout. Saturday’s are usually my cheat days. As part of my recovery, I normally do some sort of long cardio in the morning at a recovery or moderate pace….50% – 60% of my maximum heart rate. However, it really depends upon my kids, and their moods and schedules. This Saturday, it was hard to fine time to dedicate to my workout. Therefore, I mixed in my workout with my kids. Randomly throughout the day, I did squats, push ups, and pull ups. Nothing special or planned, just a little bonus work. I would say I got in about 200 squats, 350 push ups and about 150 pull ups. Not bad for a day in which I couldn’t fit in a workout. It’s easy to find excuses but remember the little things add up and make a difference, and in this case, it will prepare me well for a workout on Monday.

Anyway, with that as an introduction, here was my nutrition for the day. I hope you all will enjoy this great Sunday in Madison.
