Pat’s Workouts/Nutrition – Day 5 of 14

This is Day 5 of 14 days of postings.  I had a structural integration massage on Wednesday.  Wow, was it deep.  My body was feeling more sore on Thursday, but in a very good way.  Also, Thursday  I loaded up on extra carbs because I was going to have a big workout.  It did the trick.  I can’t over emphasize planning nutrition around your workouts.  You need to fuel up, but even more so for intense workouts.  I hope you’re enjoying these postings.

Workout:
I worked out with the Level 3 class for elite athletes.  We had 5 teams and it was fantastic energy in the gym.  Suffering with my friends is so motivating and rewarding.  I am so happy to be involved in an environment where everyone is willing to give 100% effort.  I am going to be sore as hell from this workout, but I will be ready for FYF in the morning.

10,000m skierg or row
1000 TTH or OHS
1000 Deck squat
Teams of 4

Dinner post-workout:
Gramapa’s Pizza

Market salad
Thin crust pizza
Pork confit w/ Brussels sprouts
Mozzarella and tomatoes

Recovery:

8 hours sleep….definitely needed it and it was restful.  And Natural Calm to help my muscles recover, in addition, to helping me sleep.
