When getting ready for a workout, it’s important to get your body ready for what’s to come. When I warm up, I like to focus on movement patterns associated with the day’s training session block.
Here is an example how I start many sessions, and this specific one is focused on getting my core primed and activated for training. Rules that I follow in my warmups include significant hip and shoulder movements, activating my core, focus on work skills, and simple usually means strong.
You need to learn to rethink your warmups and you will have way more success in your program. Establishing a framework will help you to build new movement combinations to help you prepare and grow in your training.
