The New Year is always a time to reflect. It’s a time to reflect on what 2016 was like, and what your goals will be in 2017. Want to be more fit than you were in 2016? Want to continue on the course that you started in 2016? Simply, do you want to be a better you? Here are a few questions that may help guide you to that better person:
Do you get enough sleep? Do you want to go to bed earlier and wake up earlier?
Do you want to train more?
Do you want to eat healthier? Eat more veggies?
Do you hug your kids and significant enough? I don’t think there is such a thing as “enough” when expressing you love is concerned…
Are you dependable? When you give your word to a friend, do you follow through?
Do you give to yourself in ways that recharge your batteries to be in the moment with people you care about?
These are a few questions that you should consider for as we go into 2017. If you think you’re satisfied where you are, remember this life is a journey and you can always be better. Focus on your goals, then create a course on how to get there.
It’s amazing when you think about where you are and where you want to be. In looking at obstacles holding you back, you will realize that they aren’t really obstacles. Those perceived obstacles are just challenges needing to be faced and overcome. For example, what started as an inspiration to bet in shape can lead to training a bit harder, loving a little stronger, listening a bit deeper and living a lot more. Make 2017 the year that you excel and achieve your goals.
In 2017, make each day count. Ask yourself these questions daily, and make an effort to be a better you in 2017.
