Try this workout if you need to practice on form for Power Clean, but also want a great leg/core and posterior workout!

DSC09266For this one workout, which is part of my intense July series, I wanted to focus on my lower body, while also focusing on form. After a long warm up, which also included warming up the core, I transitioned into heavy front squats. Then to make sure I got my form down on the Power Cleans, I used the fat bar. Interestingly when using the fat bar for cleans, you don’t have the ball bearings in the barbell so you need to make sure you are perfect with form, and land underneath the bar. I love anything that challenges my grip, so for this second reason I love fat bar Power Cleans. Then to end the workout, I focused on the posterior. That was a hard ending to a great workout!

Try it and have fun with this one. Do it with a friend, if you need that type of motivation!
