December Newsletter

December is a special time of year at Pat’s Gym. It’s a time when we have Christmas music blaring, where people push themselves to be better than they are today. Goals are being set for 2023, regardless of if they are preparing for the Ironman – Wisconsin, lower cholesterol or triglyceride levels, tightening up, losing fat or adding lean muscle. It’s all very exciting, and in past year’s our athletes have realized they have more power to change their lives in positive ways. Come give Pat’s Gym a try! We have a proven track record of helping individuals succeed and live healthier and happier lives.

Holiday Schedule 

Don’t fret about staying in shape over the holidays!! We will have a normal schedule that continues through the rest of the year. So, don’t worry about having your workout routine interrupted – we won’t let you regress at Pat’s Gym. Keep up your routine! Your body will thank you for it later.

The December Monthly Challenge 

Each year at Pat’s Gym, the Monthly Challenge rings in the holiday. Also, it will put you in the mood for the festivities! The December Monthly Challenge is the 12 Days of Christmas. It consists of the following:

1 Burpee
2 TTB
3 Box jumps 
4 Weighted Walking OH lunges 35/20# (each side)
5 Devil press 35/20#
6 Push press 
7 HSPU or Pike push up 
8 Pull ups  
9 Burpee box jump over 20”
10 Alligator rolls (over and back is one) 
11 Burpees ring pull ups or MU 
12 Deck squats to a handstand kick up

*Every 12mins 120/85 cal bikeerg 

The workout should be done just as ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ song is sung.
Every 12mins stop and do 120/85 calories on the bikeerg. There is a 60min cap on time. Have fun with this one!

You get scored on how fast you go through the exercises. Count each one carefully and enjoy the song!

The November Monthly Challenge – Each year, Pat’s Gym participates in the Concept2 World Competition SkiErg for the 1000m race for the best time. This year, as in similar years, we’ve had our athletes place extremely well. We are so happy with the showing of the Pat’s Gym athletes.

The winners of the Pat’s Gym November Monthly Challenge are Patrick H with a time of 3:17.3, and Katie H with a time of 3:47.7. Good job!
