June newsletter

Summer is officially here. Regardless of what is keeping you busy, make working out a priority. It doesn’t mean you have to continue with your normal gym workouts and your normal routine. Workout in the park, workout at home with online coaching, sign up for personal training to make sure you are doing everything correctly, or come attend a class at Pat’s Gym where we take our workouts outdoors.

Kid Summer Workout Classes

We always say at Pat’s Gym it is important to start your kids young when working out, so they establish healthy habits for the rest of their lives. What better opportunity than bringing them to a Pat’s Gym kid specific class at 1:00pm.

A few important things to teach your kids when working out…..

Hard work- nothing in life comes easy and things that are truly worth something take effort to accomplish

Integrity- do all the reps with full range of motion

Lead by example – inspire each other to put the iPad down and get movement in

Educate – learn the proper technique and body awareness on workout exercises

CrossFit Semifinals

Congratulations to Roman for punching his ticket to the CrossFit games. We look forward to seeing him train back in Madison at Pat’s Gym before he competes in the first weekend of August where Roza will be translating behind the scenes.

June Monthly Challenge

The June Monthly Challenge is max jump rope in 1min. You can do singles, double unders, steps, or any form that gets you the most revolutions completed. This does not need to be unbroken and good luck.

The winners of the Pat’s Gym May Monthly Challenge were everyone who took part in the Murph Workout. We had a great turn out at the gym on Memorial Day and special thanks to Iceebaths for providing us a cold tub.
